I’m always trying to jam pack my meals with nutrient rich foods. That’s why I love smoothies! Problem is, sometimes I just want to chew my food, and be able to add granola. That’s why my new favorite meal is an Acai (properly pronounced ah-sigh-ee) berry bowl! It’s full of superfoods, like the Acai berry, that are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, omega fatty acids, and amino acids, tastes great, and has the consistency of yogurt, so it packs an even more powerful punch than yogurt, granola and fruit (one of my favorite meals on earth during my dairy eating days).

RECIPE:
1-2 oz. Acai Berry Pulp from Amazon Thunder
1-2 scoops your favorite protein powder (I use pumpkin seed p.p.)
1/3 cup frozen wild blueberries
generous slice of avocado
1/2 of a frozen banana
1 c. almond milk (or liquid of your choice)
1 c. ice
Blend together, pour in a bowl, and top with fruit and granola. Serves 2
